Why we Ride
Today after 600 miles As I pulled off  I-10 and into the first gas station I could find.
 My legs were hurting so bad I didn't  know if I could get my feet down when I stopped rolling.
The big Rex is getting around 40 miles per gallon and thank God when the trip ometer gets near 140 miles, you better find some gas and a place to walk around .
  I started riding around  eight this morning in South Ft Myers, and stopped 30 miles east of the Alabama Florida line at 530 pm in a little town called Milton.
 My bike wouldn't complain about going on,but my ass, legs,.back and neck could not of done another gas run ,or even another mile,
 I Hurt! !Some day maybe I'll ride a Goldwing and go another 400 miles and call it a day,
 Today started with a little rain and a lot of wind.  I love my ZRX , but it has little in the way of wind protection. For most rides the bike's fun factor exceeds the strained neck, but on long rides like today, it can hurt. As I said, my ass and my legs really hurt, maybe I'm just getting old.
 At my first gas stop the rain had ended. I changed out of my rain gear, but failed to take off the extra shirt I had on.  I soon realized its was getting hot outsided, too stuborn to stop  riding untile the next fuel stop..
 New rule: if there is anything to make a long ride more comfortable, stop and make it better.  

More about my bike and my gear  as this blog unfolds. And yes,  I know there are a lot of bikes out there that would make a better long haul ride but, I ride a  ZRX. 

I Just love the Old School looks, and twist the grip in any gear, it brings a smile to my face.

 But the main goal of my writing this blog is to get your stories and share some of mine not to say one bike is better than another.

They are all good, well maybe except scooters  I just don't like them, No automatics here.

This trip I'm goimg to Houston and have a little over 500 miles to go. I was not going to do any writing  today as I am about to pass out, so this post will be short. I hope that someone out there will jump in and get the ball rolling. I should be in better shap tomorrow and will post some more pics and maybe a video. Remember the golden rule Always look for the guy who:s not looking for you. Rubber down Chrome UP
